

For Current Full Time Students in Financial Need
The Samuel W. Stedman Bursary is for students in financial need, who will continue their undergraduate studies at an OSAP eligible college or university in the province of Ontario.
You will need to provide:
- Personal and Contact Information
- Information about your program of study
- Estimated costs to complete your year of study
- Information related to your financial resources, including savings, RESPs, and income for yourself, and your parents or guardians
You will need to submit:
- The most current complete transcript available as of this past Feb. 28th (printed on or after Feb 28th of this year) – unofficial transcripts are acceptable. No other marks summaries will be accepted.
- A completed Letter of Recommendation (click here to download)
- A signed Signature page (click here to print, sign, scan, and then add as an attachment)
Information provided by all parties who have completed this form will be held in strictest confidence by the Foundation, will not be shared with any other party and will be used for the sole purpose of assisting the Foundation Bursary Committee to allocate funds based on financial need. Any student who has previously received a bursary from the Stedman Foundation is
deemed to be eligible, subject to a total of 4 Bursaries.

Only those applications received or postmarked by April 30th will be considered.

Applications must be completed in full.

Applications not completed in full will not be considered.
Note

Final decision on awards will be made by the Directors of the Samuel W. Stedman Foundation. The
total number of awards will be determined annually by the Directors of the Foundation.
All candidates will be advised of the outcome of their application not later than August 1st. Those
candidates who are granted a bursary will receive a confirmation letter. Should the candidate wish
to receive the bursary, an acceptance form must be signed, mailed to the Foundation with postmark
prior to the date specified on the form for the bursary to be granted. Failure to do so by the
prescribed date will result in the bursary not being granted.
The Foundation reserves the right to reduce or cancel any Award.
Funds are sent directly to the successful candidate’s educational institution.
Success or failure to obtain a bursary does not restrict a student from applying for a bursary in
subsequent years.
